Day 5 Mt. Sinai

The itinerary said we would climb Mt. Moses (Mt. Sinai) for a sunrise to remember! Had I thought about the time frame, I would have slept on the bus for the 7 hr ride through the wilderness (desert). I did get the chance to walk in the desert while they checked on the bus thinking wow it’s so hot. It was downright HOT! I collected a few rocks, I had to hold with my shirt they were so hot! Back to the air conditioned bus! What I take for granite.  We arrived at our destination, my kind of resort in the middle of know where surrounded by the most beautiful mountains in the St. Catherine wilderness otherwise known as the wilderness on sin We arrived around 2:30PM to be told dinner at 7:30PM and wake-up call at 11:30 PM yes I said 11:30PM so we swam in this enormous pool and totally enjoyed the scenery, shopped at the local tents and took a quick nap till right before dinner, after dinner took another quick nap, headed to the foot of the mountain at midnight, where you could choose to hike, or take a camel for the 3hr uphill hike in the dark (thank you honey for the great flashlight and Ron and Karen for the awesome flashlight hat!!) to the base where the 750 steps started Hehe totally misunderstood. We arrived at the top 4 in the morning, really got blessed with an awesome spot to sit (edge of the rock up top my foot 12 inches from the sheer cliff) and watch the Sun come up, you will see my picture but… believe me when I say nothing could capture being there and seeing it with your own eyes! The reverence, the feel, the touch, the scenery, the people, the smells, the meditation on high!, the camels, the Beduin people, the coffee shops lol don’t picture star bucks, walking were Moses walked incredible!! Breathe taking! Tear dropping for sure! I have a new appreciation for God’s creation! Amen thank you Jesus!
