Petra was totally amazing, It was inhabited by the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, Susan and I did a study of the lineage going back to Noah, so be could get a grip on who was who. I have questions about the lineage of David looks to me like he is in from Esau? when Jacob was the one who got the blessings?? What was Esau thinking giving up his birthright for a cup of grub?? be careful what you give up for a quick fix lol
More to come! continue to pray for us and our president!
I am wrong about David he is from the lineage of Jacob, This is one time I am glad I was wrong lol There is so much to learn and being on location makes it real
back to PETRA amazing amazing!
To get to Petra the city carved out of the rose red rock. We had to walk through the “Siq” an immense crack in the Nubian sandstone it was such an awesome walk. The paths were wide enough for donkey and cart to go by and in some spots pass each other. Being on the bottom of these sheer cliffs was so awesome. Seeing the water trough run along the rocks and to think that was how they got their water in the city of Petra. They called the city many names one was the lost city because Nubian knew about it but the rest of the world did not “It was lost to them” You could see the devastation to the city from were the flood of 1964 ruined the road and destroyed some of the walls. I really thought it was weird to find out they had a big flood in 1964 too! Kind of eery Petra was burial ground full of tombs carved in the rocks.

The start of our tour the land looks like desert nothing special yet!
This is where they take your tickets to get in, everywhere we went it cost to get in. I am very thankful for Pilgram tours we did not worry about one thing everything has been taken care of in advanced out tour guides always had our tickets we never had to wait in line. Again another blessing!
This is one of the first things we see as we start our tour. It was like a play land You could climb in and out of rocks. It get better!
Those are the start of the tombs behind Susan.
